Born of a 12-week internship at the end of my senior year at university, WELCOME TO THE CREATIVE WORKFORCE is a handbook from one intern to another.
This 15x21cm publication consists of 12 notions I believe any and all intern designers should keep in mind during their first experience with the industry. Written in a concise, informal, and often humorous manner, the content (as well as its 2 appendixes) addresses a variety of challenges one might encounter during an internship, ranging from crucial issues—such as dealing with overtime, criticism, and miscommunication—to more mundane topics like treating workplace ennui, and bonding with your colleagues.
In terms of visual execution, the handbook pays homage to the company at which I interned by drawing inspiration from their brand elements: the vibrant yellow-blue-black palette, along with a generous amount of hand-drawn elements and illustrations.
